Gary is a journalist with more than a decade’s experience. His career has taken him around the world, filing stories from more than 40 countries on a variety of subjects, from sports to news, politics to business, media to travel and lifestyle.
While based in the Middle East, Gary organised and executed long-term coverage plans for local and international events, helped grow the online presence of The National newspaper through social media campaigns, and was shortlisted for an APSE award for his behind-the-scenes coverage of the 2012 Formula One season.
Since relocating to Rio de Janeiro, Gary has appeared on Brazilian television and radio discussing sports and culture and during the Olympic Games conducted social media relations for several publications simultaneously. He brings this experience to Sherlock, adding expert planning skills, a nose for what makes a good story and an ability to turn around flawless work on deadline.
